Membership Benefits

• Paid Memberships between October - December carries over to the new year. 

• Memberships for Single: $30  

• Memberships for same-family households: $50

• Memberships are due yearly each April.  Membership must be active to attend January's Annual Birthday Party & Ragbrai Announcement. 

• We are an active group.  Currently 180 members.  Ride and learn with others who love biking!

• Offer your skills to the club!

• Make new friends!

• Club meetings are on the first Tuesday of every month with the club providing soda/beer at Happy Joes, Burlington. The meeting starts at 7 p.m. (No January meeting due to the Birthday/RAGBRAI route announcement)

• Dinner rides on Wednesday evening 20 – 36 miles to the prearranged destination usually April –October.   If you wish to be added to a weekly email, please email Gary Szymula at gjsiowa@aol.com    The first rides of the season are out and back.  Small groups leave between 5 - 5:30 p.m. and return around 7-7:30 for dinner at the start destination.  In October, out-and-back rides start again from local restaurants. 

• Bike Burlington has a Facebook page. Check it out if you are on Facebook, and request to be part of our page. See pictures of our members and announcements/updates to events and rides. 

• Club birthday party with food and beverages. (In January to meet members and gather to hear the RAGBRAI route announcements)

• Opportunity to participate in RAGBRAI and other organized rides.

• Bike Burlington supports the Snake Alley Criterium (Memorial Day Weekend).  Volunteer to support the club and help to protect racers on the route.

• Also, ask about the club's discount at Bickels and Nick's Cycling and Fitness!

• The club offers Transportation and Support for RAGBRAI.

• Riders are required to wear helmets at all club events!    Lights are highly recommended!
