Bike Burlington is a sponsor.  Bike Burlington members and non-member individuals are asked to help.   What can you do??

List of Volunteer roles:

Course Set up

Course set up of cones will be completed on Thursday, May 25th. Time TBD.  Signs/Bales etc) will begin at 11 AM on Friday, May 26th to be ready for a 4 pm start of Friday night Fever. Both courses will be set up at this time.  We need to place cones and signs around the course area to let the public know, and monitor cars/people so they are not on the race course during the bike races. The city will be installing all wood barricades.

We'll meet at River Park Place, 610 North 4th Street, and divide up into teams to distribute the cones and signs. If you have a truck available for distributing cones that would be helpful.  Depending on how many volunteers we have, this could be a quick job. We usually have to space cones at every 2-3 parking stalls and install signs in every other stall.

Straw Bales

We meet at River Park Place, 610 North 4th Street to start placement of the straw bales at strategic locations around the racecourse so as to keep the bike racers safe in case of an accident.

We create a mess putting these straw bales out, so we usually follow the trailer with a leaf blower to re-clear the course of straw debris. Bring your work gloves.
